Residents of Montgomery County Maryland balk at the attempts of Pepco power company to trim back trees from power lines. Pepco’s aggressive practice on trimming trees in light of recent major storms has produced a storm of public debate in Maryland.
Judy Koenick, a supporter of the bill that will dramatically limit Pepco’s tree-trimming practice, has named Pepco, “the Butcher of Montgomery County.”
Should residents stay out of the way of Pepco and let them do their job, or is Pepco going too far with their pruning?
