ProArbor has been serving residential clients providing excellent tree care services including pruning, trimming, removal and hazardous tree takedowns in the DC Metropolitan area since 2004.
Using all of the industry’s resources, including national standards, research in arboriculture, agronomy, and technical rigging, we will provide a level of tree care that is superior to any competitor. We will utilize equipment and methods that provide our specific clientele with the most value when it comes to the care and management of trees. Rather than attempting to serve all properties, ProArbor will serve those whose owners and managers seek the best possible interface between a property and its users.
Because of its’ success, ProArbor expanded to servicing Golf Courses, HOAs and Government Corporations taking the commitment of the 10 Points of Customer Service that is the foundation of ProArbor. With this in mind, Ferris Crilly the Owner has set up a second company, ProTurf. ProTurf will offer his Golf Course Clients an extended service and solution to a problem that Golf Course Superintendents routinely face of keeping the turfs aerated in the summers without downtime.

Superior Tree Knowledge
ProArbor arborists are continually participating in the process of education for green industry professionals. This means that the best and most current practices will be employed on the golf courses that we serve. Knowledge of pest management, disease control, lightning protection, and species-specific treatment for all of the trees on the course means that good decisions can be made regarding every tree.
Respect for the Property
Having worked on some of the finest golf courses in the country, our teams know that there is a certain way to treat a golf course. From the equipment that we use to the specially trained technicians that we employ, our golf course team is specifically tuned to work on the golf course. Only the best climbers are used – some are ISA competition champions. When equipment is necessary on the course, then ground protection is employed. All personnel are acutely aware that everything on the property is precious and to be treated with care. Of course, the highest level of safety protocol is practiced. All personnel are trained weekly on safety procedures.
Understanding Turf Management
As tree experts, we know that the assets with which we work are often at odds with the primary asset of a golf course. Perfection in turf is paramount in gold course management. Since trees more often than not stand in the way of good turf, our experts face the challenge of maintaining trees without harming turf. We meet this challenge head on, and work together with the superintendents to assure that tress do not interfere with the playing surface or the game. Good tree care practices combine with an understanding of the needs of turf to create a balance that results in the best possible golf course.

Having served the golf course maintenance industry for a decade in the realm of arboriculture, the ProArbor team has heard from all you turf managers about the primary focus on the golf course, turfgrass quality and plant health. Out of a love of serving golf courses, we decided to create ProTurf. This will allow us to aid you the turf manager in providing the best product to your customers. Knowing that aeration is a challenge on many levels, we endeavor to help in one simple way.

The Air2G2 process requires no cleanup upon completion. Even further, because there is virtually no disruption to the turf surface, the Air2G2 process can be done easily in any weather condition, without interrupting play. No need to close the course in order to perform Soil CPR with the Air2G2 process. Its benefits include but are not limited to relieving compacted soil up to 12” deep, creating gas exchange in the root zone and adding drainage channels allowing the turf to breathe and survive under our stressful conditions.
We are available to deploy a team of three Air2g2 machines with operators for you to use anywhere on your property.
